JFK Airport, New Terminal One
Project Description
This project is the new 14-gate airport terminal facility at the JFK International Airport. The project was delivered through a design-build method. Our firm was engaged by the structural engineer of record to perform façade engineering support for the headhouse airside and landside curtainwalls and to perform structural engineering services for the design of the main canopy at the departures level with its accordion shaped ETFE roof over the roadway bridge as well as the two exterior stair towers serving the departures level. We worked with the design team, including several minority partners, to coordinate the structural design with the architectural vision.
