Soori High Line

Client: Sumaida + Khurana
Architect: Montroy DeMarco Architecture LLP | SCDA Architects
Size: 82,000 SF
Status: Completed This new development is an 11-story residential building in Manhattan’s West Chelsea. Units were designed to include private pools with indoor/ outdoor exposures and double height spaces. The façade is glass with wood clad aluminum. The structure is concrete flat plate with a lateral system of shear walls and a pile foundation system.

Patricia A. Rodriguez, PE

Professional Engineer

Patricia has managed numerous projects of varying scale and complexity. With over 20 years of experience in analysis and design on projects which have included new buildings and renovations as well as building condition assessments, landscaping features and art installations. Throughout her career as a Structural Engineer, she has been responsible for coordinating all aspects of building design projects. As a Project Manager for Weidlinger Associates she was responsible for the investigation, coordination and structural design for the modernization of the United Nations at the General Assembly and the Conference Building in addition to extensive experience on Port Authority of NY&NJ projects and Hudson River Park. Patricia is a licensed P.E. in New York and New Jersey and a member of SEAoNY and Open House New York. She currently teaches at New York University - Tandon School of Engineering (formerly Polytechnic) in the Civil and Urban Engineering Department and has also taught classes at New York City College of Technology – (CityTech-CUNY). Size: 5,000 SF
Status: Completed This project involved the design of a shade structure to provide an outdoor classroom experience. The structure is a 10 foot high structure comprised of a cedar wood frame and a modern material for the roof deck in this case recycled plastic lumber (RPL) as a low maintenance and sustainable option.

Lido Beach Condominiums

Client: Lido Beach Condominiums
Architect: Impact Architecture
Size: 13 Acres
Status: Completed This project is the renovation of the former ballroom area and subsequent gymnasium and recreational space to allow for new programming of the space. Lido Beach Condominiums is situated on 13 acres of oceanfront property with a private beach. The structural renovation included the removal of interior walls adjacent to the stair tower and new openings in structural walls in the cellar.
